How does the contribution process work?

The process is designed to be straightforward and secure. To ensure the integrity of the data, we have established one fundamental rule: only authors or co-authors can register paper data.

1. Log In: To begin, you must be logged into your BioForging account. This allows us to verify your identity as a community member.
2. Access the Form: At the bottom of this page, you will find a button to "Contribute My Findings". If you are logged in, this button will take you directly to an exclusive contribution form.
3. Fill in the Data: In the form, you will be asked to enter key information about your research, including:
   • The DOI or PMID of your publication to link it correctly.
   • Specific data you wish to highlight (genes, mutations, functional effects, etc.).
4. Submission and Review: Once completed, submit the form. Your contribution may undergo a quick validation process to ensure consistency before being permanently integrated into BioForging's public database.
